A gathering of works by Australian artists, crafts people and designers, in a maximalist exploration of the colour blue in all its hues.
These dark, twisting fabrications of steel and metal challenge and entice; vaguely forbidden forms that nevertheless invite interaction and touch.

Crafted for the NGV restaurant, this lighting sculpture represents a collaboration between Michael Gittings and Makiko Ryujin.
Saṃsāra 2020 is a lighting installation designed by Makiko Ryujin and Michael Gittings. The two-part work takes the form of a large blossoming tree and separate hanging canopy to embody the cyclical nature of our existence.
In his work Infinity Blows, Michael crafted a bespoke piece for client Home Richmond’s art collection. Working with hammer and weight to meticulously craft the shape of the metal, repeatedly manipulating the material to create an almost fantastical landscape.
